Manchester United vs MLS All-Star
Time: 8:30 PM ET
Date: July 27,2011
Venue: Red Bull Arena,Harrison

Manchester United is the only international club to beat the MLS All-Stars, besting them 5-2 in Houston last year. Everton did edge a penalty shootout following a draw the year before, however. This is the eighth year in the current set-up.
Veering off tradition slightly, MLS selected New York Red Bulls head coach Hans Backe to take charge of the All-Star Game. Despite not boasting the best record in MLS (that'd be Bruce Arena with the LA Galaxy), the lack of travel involved convinced MLS to alter proceedings slightly.

Here is the full roster available to Backe, with several players voted in playing for their club sides in the CONCACAF Champions League instead:

Goalkeeper: Tally Hall (Houston Dynamo), Faryd Mondragón (Philadelphia Union)

Defenders: Corey Ashe (Houston Dynamo), Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City), Geoff Cameron (Houston Dynamo), Bobby Convey (San Jose Earthquakes), Sean Franklin (LA Galaxy), Jamison Olave (Real Salt Lake), Heath Pearce (Chivas USA), Tim Ream (New York Red Bulls)

Midfielders: Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), David Beckham (LA Galaxy), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo), Jack Jewsbury (Portland Timbers), Shalrie Joseph (New England Revolution), Nick LaBrocca (Chivas USA)

Forwards: Juan Agudelo (New York Red Bulls), Omar Bravo (Sporting Kansas City), Omar Cummings (Colorado Rapids), Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy), Thierry Henry (New York Red Bulls), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes)
Javier Hernandez will reunite with his club teammates following an extended break used to recover from the Gold Cup. Chicharito helped Mexico win that trophy and qualify for the 2013 Confederations Cup. Though he may not be fit enough to start, the 23-year-old will likely see the pitch at some point.
Thirteen of the All-Stars are debutants in the exhibition, including Thierry Henry, who leads the MLS goal-scoring charts with 11.
Manchester United has won its previous three games on U.S. soil this summer, easily dispatching the New England Revolution, Seattle Sounders FC and the Chicago Fire by heavy scorelines.
